Police: Bank robbery suspect arrested in Elgin

A bank robbery suspect was arrested Friday in Elgin, police said.

Elgin police responded to the stickup on the 400 block of Summit Street about 12:45 p.m., according to a news release on the department’s Facebook page^[1]. A department spokesman declined to identify the bank.

The suspect was arrested without incident, police said. No one was hurt.

The case has been turned over to the FBI, police said.

No other information was available late Friday.
