XFO filled with knockouts and submissions

XFO_web[dropcap]O[/dropcap]n May 31, the Extreme Fighting Organization (XFO) held their 51st fight card at the UIC Pavilion. The XFO is a Chicago-area based MMA promotional company that has held numerous events around Chicago and Rockford. They have sent 130 fighters to fight in the UFC and Bellator, the most out of any MMA promotion in the United States. Past UFC fighters include Clay Guida, Bart Palaszweski and Jeff Curran.

Horacio Gutierrez made his American professional debut. After a shaky start in the first round where he was taken to the ground, Gutierrez was able to turn the tide and defeat Jordan Wiggins by TKO due to strikes in 4:54 of the 1st round.

In the co-main event, Ed Carpenter was able to choke out Aaron Ware with an arm triangle in 31 seconds of the first round. During the main event, Adam Maciejewski submitted Scott Hough of Nebraska with a kimura arm lock in 4:59 of the 1st round.

The card was filled with action packed fights with many finishes due to TKO or submissions.
