[dropcap]A[/dropcap] woman was reportedly attacked in the Irving Park neighborhood over the weekend.

The attack allegedly happened in the 3800 block of Berteau between 6:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. this past Saturday, said a resident in a post to the GIPNA: Greater Independence Park Neighborhood Association Facebook page.

“Heads up that there was an assault of a young woman out walking her small dog on Berteau between Hamlin and Ridgeway on Saturday night,” she wrote. “[The] subject was driving a Jeep Liberty and apparently pulled her into the alley. She managed to free herself but let’s all be alert for this guy. I will try to get more info, it happened to someone in my condo building. Stay tuned.”

Hoffman had not returned EXTRA’s request for details regarding the alleged attacker’s description at press time. Additionally, at press time police had yet to receive a report regarding the incident incident, said Chicago Police Department news affairs Officer Amina Greer.

This is a developing story; check back for updates.
