[dropcap]T[/dropcap]is summer Chiago will host Ruido Fest, the U.S.’s first three-day, multi-stage outdoor Latin alternative music festival.

The music festival at Addams Park will showcase over 40 Latin Post-Punk, Electronic, Hip-Hop, Rock, Psychedelia, Tropicalia, Reggae and Punk acts from all over the American continent and the world from July 10 through July 12.

Bands expected to perform include Café Tacvba, Zoe, Molotov, Nortec Collective, Enjambre, Kinky, Ozomatli, Compass, Mexican Institute of Sound + Toy Selectah, Porter, Master Blaster Sound System and many more acts yet to be announced.

“The Latin population in this city is a diverse, growing force that has made Chicago one of the top destinations for world music. We could not think of a better place to unveil this truly unique event,” said Eduardo Calvillo, founder of Rock Sin Anestesia after the festival was announced Wednesday.

“Ruido Fest intends to reflect the diversity of Chicago and provide an outlet for Spanish speaking artists in a comfortable, friendly atmosphere,” said Max Wagner, from Metronome, the group behind many of Chicago’s largest music festivals, including the North Coast Music Festival. “We are seeking to create a destination for Latin Alternative music not only for the people of this great festival city, but also for fans of quality Latin entertainment across the nation.”

Three-day passes will cost between $75 and $155 while single day passes will cost between $55 and $75. VIP tickets will cost between $155 and $255 and include express entry at the gate, wristbands for ins and outs, access to a VIP lounge and exclusive seating and viewing areas, complimentary bottled water, private air-conditioned restrooms, premium beer and spirits bar.

Tickets for Ruido Fest will go on sale starting 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 25 at Ruidofest.com and Ticketfly.com.

The principal organizers of Rudio, which means noise in Spanish, are Riot Fest Presents, Rock Sin Anestesia, Metronome and Star Events.
