[dropcap]T[/dropcap]he Wizard World Comic Convention took place Aug. 22-24 at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, Ill. EXTRA sat down with two of the celebrities who were a part of the convention and asked them a few questions – “The Incredible Hulk” Lou Ferrigno and the Green Ranger Jason David Frank from the “Power Rangers” series.

EXTRA: Lou, tell me about Wizard World Chicago and representing the Incredible Hulk?

Lou Ferrigno: I think it’s great! The Wizard World Convention is a great show for the fans. They can see me in person and get excited because they don’t see me in my costume. They see the real deal. I get a chance to talk to the fans. The Hulk had an incredible fan base and is a legacy 40 years later. I am excited more than ever.

You look very fit. What is the key to being fit?

Being fit is so important because you only have one life, one body and you want to preserve it the best you can. With fitness, you get more longevity. It is a combination of three magic formatives: eat right, train right and sleep right. It’s very simple. People can become analytical and you have to eat in moderation. Discipline your mind.

You have an incredible story yourself. You started training when you were 13 years old even though you had problems with your hearing. What is the key to success?

I never wanted to take a second seat so I got into body fitness as my platform to survive. I had to work harder than the average person. I am very grateful for where I am now. It gave me the discipline. I hope everyone can follow the same path. Everybody can maximize what they have. Have a positive attitude. You are going to hear the negative all the time but it’s about shrinking it down. Replace the negative hormones with positive hormones.

Who is your favorite comic character?

Superman. He is powerful and able to fly. When I was introverted and I had a low self-esteem, I used to fantasize I was Superman and it kept me  positive and helped me make my dreams come true.

A few years back I watched you in Celebrity Apprentice. What did you learn?

It was great. I learned a lot. I learned a lot about branding. I enjoyed it very much. I would do it again.

What would you like to say to our readers?

Be good to yourself, be nice to others and never give up.

EXTRA: Jason, tell me about your involvement with Wizard World in Chicago?

Jason David Frank: I was here last year. I do a lot of shows for Wizard World. I think it’s a great organization. This is my second time here at Chicago.

What did you learn from your fans?

I am learning every day. I love their excitement and energy.

Tell me about the “Power Rangers.” I grew up watching it. Will you always be the Green Power Ranger?

It’s a big series. Lou Ferrigno is the Hulk and I am the Green Ranger.

Is green the best color?

I think it is. Today is green day for sure.

What can you tell us about the new Power Ranger movie that is coming out?

I know it’s not written yet but Robert is writing it. There is a lot of good stuff going on. We are trying to work out some Green Ranger details and working on a reality show that I have been filming. Season 2 will be on a special network launched by Wizard World at the end of the month. It’s going to be good.

Is there another character that you would like to play?

Any action movie, you know? I love action. It is nice to play a cop or a bad guy.

What would you like to say to our readers?

If you get a chance, follow me on social media because I spent eight hours a day on it. You can do anything you put your mind to. Say, “I can”; never say, “I can’t.”

What do you like about Chicago?

The iFLY skydiving across the street. I am waiting to get over there. I am a big fan of skydiving.
