On Aug. 10, the Chicago Fire hosted its first ever “Dog Days of Soccer” presented by Beneful® event as the Fire host the Montreal Impact at Toyota Park at 7:30 p.m. CT (My50/La Ley 107.9 FM). On this night, Chicago Fire fans were invited to bring their canine friends to enjoy the match.
The Chicago Fire Soccer Club announced Monday that it is partnering with Beneful®, one of the most popular dog food brands in the nation, for a fun soccer event this summer.
“We are excited to continue our relationship with Beneful® this summer to bring some fun, first-of-its-kind dog-themed activities and events to our Chicago Fire fans,” said Fire senior director of Corporate Partnerships Jessica Worley. “Beneful® is a perfect fit with our club because it is a fun, playful brand that celebrates the special relationships many of our fans share with their four-legged best friends. We’re especially looking forward to hosting Fire fans and their dogs at Toyota Park in August.”
The Fire created a “Take your Dog to Work Day” online video with 2012 Fire MVP and Golden Boot winner Chris Rolfe, Costa Rican international Gonzalo Segares, reigning MLS Rookie of the Year Austin Berry and Fire right back Wells Thompson.
