Elba Aranda-Suh recognized by Jesse White

[dropcap]E[/dropcap]lba Aranda-Suh has added a new award to her accomplishments as executive director of the National Latino Education Institute (NLEI). The NLEI is the leader in providing high-tech, healthcare and financial career training to underserved Latino communities.

Aranda-Suh’s community service expands far beyond her work with the National Latino Education Institute. She serves on the boards of other organizations such as the Illinois State Treasurer Personnel Board, the Illinois Diversity Council, the Illinois Healthcare Workforce Committee, and the NBC5 Chicago Community Advisory Coalition. She currently presides over the Board of Directors for the Latino Council on Media (LCOM).

Her service and efforts have made her the proud recipient of numerous awards such as the Citibank Corporate Hispanic Leadership Award and the National Diversity Council’s “Most Powerful & Influential Women in Illinois” Award. To this list, Aranda-Suh now adds the Hispanic Heritage Award given by Secretary of State Jesse White.
