Crime Briefs: Attempted child luring in Belmont Cragin

[dropcap]P[/dropcap]olice are looking for a woman who tried to lure two children into a car Tuesday morning.

The incident happened around 7:40 a.m. in the Belmont Cragin neighborhood. The children were walking in the 5400 block of West Schubert when a woman driving a black four-door car approached them and asked if they wanted a ride. In addition to the woman, three men and two children were also in the vehicle, said the alert from police.

The children answered no and the woman asked them a second time, which also was met with a no from the two children. After the second refusal the woman drove eastbound on Schubert.

Police describe the woman as white, middle-aged with medium-length blond hair and a light complexion. She was last seen wearing a black jacket. Moreover the car she was driving is described as having a thin white stripe running across the taillights and a partial Illinois license plate of 97732, police say.
