[dropcap]C[/dropcap]hicago City Clerk Susana A. Mendoza has launched new and improved versions of ChiCityClerk.com and EZ>BUY, the online sales application that allows hundreds of thousands of residents to purchase Chicago City Vehicle Stickers each year.
Mendoza said the old site, particularly the EZ>BUY portion, was due for a makeover and will benefit from updates that make it mobile- and tablet-friendly.
“The old site looked a bit dated, but it served as a workhorse for at least three years, including during a critical transition to Year-Round Sales, the biggest improvement to the Office of the Clerk in decades. EZ>BUY handled more than 10,000 transactions daily during the old summer rush period, but it was time for a change to meet the needs of our customers,” she said.
“ChiCityClerk.com and EZ>BUY are now mobile-friendly, meaning you can easily purchase a vehicle sticker, residential guest passes or dog licenses over your phone or tablet. The new look is more intuitive for users and it’ll be easier to find critical information. It’s my stated goal to be the most innovative and tech savvy office in the nation and this is another step toward that. These improvements will be a benefit to our customers and our office as we seek to increase the online sales of our products.”
With just a few clicks, customers can purchase vehicle stickers and other products conveniently on the Internet and have them sent to their homes. Approximately 200,000 customers purchase their vehicle stickers online annually.
ChiCityClerk.com underwent minor changes in 2012. You can compare the current site to older versions by looking at the pictures attached below.
The new EZ>BUY sales application launched Wednesday night. Service to customers was uninterrupted and has continued seamlessly over the past few days. The relaunch of EZ>BUY was the final part of phased redesign of the City Clerk’s website, ChiCityClerk.com.
