The Chicago Fire (17-11-5; 56 points) host D.C. United (17-10-6; 57 points) in the regular season finale at Toyota Park on Saturday, Oct. 27 at 3:00 p.m. The Fire currently sit in third place, just one point behind D.C. With a victory, the Men in Red would secure second place in the Eastern Conference, ensuring home field advantage in the first round of the playoffs.
Saturday’s match is the second and final game between the Fire and D.C. United this season. In the first leg of the series, goals from Daniel Paladini and Gonzalo Segares were not enough as the Fire fell 4-2 at RFK Stadium Aug. 22.
D.C. United enter the match after a late 91st minute goal by Lewis Neal gave D.C. United a 3-2 victory over the Columbus Crew, clinching their first playoff berth since 2007.
